There
are two kinds of people you will find on Linkedin-
1.
Those who actively hunt for job on Naukri.com, Monster.com and such other job
sites.
2.
Those who LIKE or COMMENT on every job post they come across on their Linkedin
Network hoping to land a dream job.
If
you scan your Linkedin wall for job posts; you will end up finding
every 3rd or 4th post of a person who is willing to offer you a job on a mere
Like or Share.

And
together they reviewed 30,000 profiles to see whose Like was better looking
than the remaining 29,999. Ace of an HR personnel. I mean, can you
believe it 20,000 plus Likes to the job post at this IT firm.
Oh,
here's one more who wants you to believe they are really genuine-
Are you looking for freelancing work / work
from home opportunities for a leading Indian startup for 1-2 hours. Earning
potentials will be around 15K-30K per month. Multiple roles / positions
available. No phone numbers or email ID in comments. Please connect/send invite
or just mention "interested" in comment. Thank You !!
Dear
HR Manager/ Recruiting Manager, if you think you have fooled people and
made them Like/ Comment your status so you GROW YOUR LINKEDIN NETWORK.
Congratulations, you have successfully accomplished that. Now I hope
you can finish reviewing all the profiles who have commented on your
post by the time you end your HR career.
Message
to the HR fraternity- it will be great if you can put in some efforts and
review 5 profiles on Linkedin. I am sure you will come across a decent
candidate without the need to collect 50,000 likes.
Dear
Job Seeker, it is good that you are looking for a change and have reached
Linkedin (the only platform to network professionally, till date). But it does
not mean that your Facebook behaviour will get you a job or for that matter
even a review of your Linkedin profile. Grow beyond this.
It
is understandable that desperate situations demand desperate measures but this
is not even desperation; this is like the 1 in 0 probability of you getting a
job cos you are falling prey to the stupidity of one idiot who doesn't care to
do his job properly.
I
am reminded of an unpopular saying by Alexander Einstein-
"Wisdom
of using social networking lies in the brains of the beholder"
or
wait...was that me??
